About

Hi, I am Madi White and I am the brains behind this whole thing!

I am currently a student at Wake Forest University School of Divinity pursuing a Master of Divinity degree. I have spent most of my time here focusing on Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. I spent my undergraduate days majoring in History and Religious Studies focusing on the ways sexuality was influenced (for better or worse) by religious people and institutions.

This is where my passion lies and the reason for this blog! I want to create a practical tool for people to engage with religious and sexual topics that encourage growth and learning. As it says when you first click on this blog – my hope is to create space for honest conversations to de-stigmatize and de-shame sex and sexuality from a religious perspective. Religion, in my opinion, has caused the most harm in regard to sexuality and this is why my work is important! (notice I use religion and don’t name a specific religion!)

I consider myself a student at heart and want to continue this work, so feel free to reach out to me anytime about topic ideas, comments or questions! I’d love to get to know you!
